I am a Virginia-based creative, with over 20 years of experience, specializing in graphic design and photography with a side of videography. I am a problem solver and have a passion for results-driven visual solutions. I firmly believe form and function can be in balance if clear goals, communication and expectations are set. I am detail-oriented, efficient and can manage a team and projects from high to granular levels.
I am a team player and want to use my multi-disciplinary skillset to deliver the most impactful solution that moves the company/client forward.
Besides problem solving behind a 5K display or looking through the camera, I enjoy being hands on other aspects. You can find me working on my cars and attending the local modified car scene, finding a bite to eat worth the calories, DIY’ing all things around the house, and being a husband/father to my two energetic kids. I'm on the never ending search to inspire and be inspired.
How did I get into design?
I've inherited my dad's artistic side. Ever since I was 5, I've been doodling, tinkering and creating. I entered the Old Donation Center for the Gifted and Talented in the fourth grade for art. That nurtured and established my foundation in art and became the foundation of where I am today.
In college, once I realized mechanical engineering and architecture weren't my passion, I switched back to my artistic side and received my B.F.A in Graphic Design and minor in Marketing. Upon graduating, I started a photography business, with my brother and his wife while at the same time starteing my design career. I’ve had the honor to work in at ForRent.com/Apartments, Trader Interactive, Dollar Tree and currently Family Dollar.
It's funny what they say, if you do what you love, you'll never work a day in your life. I'm humbled to be in a field I truly have a passion for and can utilize my BFA and minor in marketing degree.
